With my background in newspapers, I’m always tuned into the rhythm of rolling news — it never really stops. In fact, there’s a constant news service running in my head, 24/7. My paintings become the headlines, visual metaphors for the ideas and issues streaming through my mind.

At times, it’s the neglect of rural health in Australia that takes centre stage. Other times, it’s the looming influence of artificial intelligence in modern medicine. Whatever the theme, my work becomes a canvas for those fleeting yet urgent notions, transforming them into images that ask bigger questions.
